nnnPaul McBeth is able to hold that number one spot. He did not have the typical McBeth round at Discraft Great Lakes Open (DGLO) but he was able to finish in a solid seventh place. nnAdam Hammes jumped up five spots to take the number two spot on our power ranking. He had a great showing at DGLO with a fourth place finish. His game looked good and we’ll see if he can carry this momentum in to the back half of the season. nnMoving up one spot in to third place is Gannon Buhr. His twelfth place finish was enough for him to jump up one spot.nnMoving down two spots after a rollercoaster tournament is Simon Lizotte. There were moments where he looked like he might sneak a podium from the chase card on Sunday but it wasn’t meant to be. nnHow are the Joe’s Disc Golf Power Rankings determined? Unlike other disc golf power rankings, theses are based purely on math. There is no voting; no tweaking; no gut feelings; no manipulation.nnTo calculate the rankings, we look at the most recent eight Silver Series, Elite Series, and Majors. We do not factor in any other tournaments. The most recent three tournaments weigh the most overall in the calculations, while the last two weigh the least. Players who do not attend an event are assigned a certain number of points that substitute a finishing place. Rankings are updated after every DGPT/Major event.nn
